The VIPMOAA 26 May 2011 outing was to the Williamsburg Winery and included a winery tour and wine tasting (keeping the wine glass), lunch with glass of wine at the Gabriel Archer Tavern,  and optional tour of the new boutique hotel, Wedmore Place.  59 people had reservations, paid in advance, including one first time attending member and several guests of members.  We were split into two groups, with one group strating with tour and wine tasting then lunch and the others starting with lunch.  Enjoy the photos below.  The event was arranged by VIPMOAA member, Margaret Mondul. Jim Pauls was Hospitality POC.  Jay Harper greeted group 2.   What a lovely way to spend a spring day!
The tour was interesting.  Did you know that stemless wine glasses should only be used for white wine, not red?  Because the hand heats the wine, which is okay for red wine but not for white.

VIPMOAA President, Frank Duckett, Maj, USAF, Ret, of Williamsburg said "We were blessed with wonderful weather for our annual outing, a good member turnout, attentive and very informative tour guides, and a generous wine tasting following the tour.  I think  a good time was had by all."
