The informal mentoring program with officers from VIPMOAA is still in development. The program focus is on pairing a senior Army ROTC cadet with an interested MOAA member and establishing an initial contact between the parties. How the mentorship develops, the scope of the mentorship and the nature of contacts would be is up to the individual mentors and the interest of their respective cadet. A group session was held last Veterans' Day. VIPMOAA Chapter Scholarships

Member donations enable the chapter to issue these scholarships to each of the 11 area high schools. These scholarships are part of the VIPMOAA chapter's "Military Community Service/Scholarship Fund". Go to the "Community Service" Tab under the "About Us" Tab for information about the fund. VIPMOAA provided 11 $500 scholarships to the 11 Junior ROTC units for the school-year 2014-2105 and was able to increase the scholarship to $700 for school-year 2015-2016.
