VIPMOAA was first chartered by MOAA in 1970 (after beginning at Fort Eustis in 1968).

Purposes of VIPMOAA:
  • Uphold the Constitution of the United States.
  • Support a sufficient military force for the nation.
  • Inform chapter members and family about military matters.
  • Promote a spirit of camaraderie among members.
  • Serve as regional point of contact.
  • Reinforce locally the legislative goals and objectives of MOAA and the VCOC.
  • Provide factual personal affairs & survivor assistance to members and family.

VIPMOAA's first website was developed by LTC James (Jim) Eagle, USAF, Ret, in 2002, and maintained on his personal cox account for 7 years.  Jim's website earned MOAA communications awards for our local chapter of MOAA.

VIPMOAA's current website was developed in March 2009, using Network Solutions hosting package, with volunteer labor by Maj Melva Mallison, USAF, Ret.  The same domain name is used:  VIPMOAA.org.  You may contact new web master at melvamaj@cox.net
