March Reservation Form

VIPMOAA has a special tour at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point.  Tour will start promptly at 1000.  After the tour we will adjourn to the YROC Coastal Bar & Grill on Yacht Haven Rd. Leave VIMS at 12 noon; 1230-1245 Elections; 1245 Lunch. Note that you must wear CLOSED TOED SHOES (protect your toes from the sea monsters!!)

Lunch will be on the 2nd floor - NO ELEVATOR available, must use stairs

Here are the details for the tour:

Please allow extra time for parking/unloading. Arriving more than 20 minutes after the scheduled start time will result in cancellation of your tour.

• Tour Stops: Visitors Center (10 minutes), Fish Collection (25 minutes), Acuff Center for Aquaculture (25 minutes)
• Location: The tour will begin in the Visitors Center in Watermen’s Hall on the VIMS Gloucester Point Campus. Directions can be found here: http://www.vims.edu/about/visit/index.php
• Parking: Please follow the "VIMS Tour Parking" sign into the circle drive in front of Watermen's Hall. The bus can unload passengers and head down to the large parking lot at the end of Greate Rd (toward the river, across from the Gloucester Point Public Beach). The bus can then come back to the circle in front of Watermen's Hall to pick up passengers at the end of the tour time.
• Attire: Everyone on the tour must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals). Comfortable shoes are key, as guests will be standing throughout the tour (very few seats are available in the tour locations).
• Transportation on campus: We have two golf carts capable of transporting 14 passengers; so we will split the group into two smaller groups of 14 and the groups will be carted from one tour location to the other.
