    Arleen Cerbone Faustina

    Arleen Cerbone Faustina, PhD

After an 18-year career as an educator, Dr. Faustina, who had worked with underserved students and their families in crisis, matriculated from Tulane University with a doctorate in Psychology in 2003.

At Tulane, her studies focused on the neurophysiology of stress disorders, particularly PTSD.  At the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC), New Orleans, she conducted research on PTSD with secondary psychotic features, subsequently continuing her research at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, as assistant professor in the department of geriatric psychiatry.   Dr. Cerbone Faustina also taught Psychology at the college level and conducted therapy in her private practice.

Dr. Faustina’s research eventually led her to the pharmaceutical industry where she worked for several years in neurology, finally retiring from Medical Affairs.

She lives here in Williamsburg with her husband and dog and is a member of St. Olaf’s Catholic Church where she sings with the choir.
