Communications

The Communications Committee has four responsibilities:

  1. Editing and publishing the monthly 12-page Newsletter
  2. Maintaining the VIPMOAA website
  3. Acquiring advertising sponsorship for our Newsletter and Membership Directory
  4. Identify and establish contacts with the local news media to promote the activities of our Chapter.

The newly redesigned website was made public on 1 August 2019.  A Website Team is inplace that advises the Webmaster, Carolyn McHale.  The Newsletter Editor is Carolyn McHale and the Newsletter is reviewed by the Executive Board before publication.  Articles are solicited from members and Executive Board Members.

Two positions are currently vacant and need to be filled.  Ad Coordinator and News Media Coordinator.  These positions could be combined into one position depending on the person who would like to assume these roles.

Duties of the Ad Coordinator:

  • Our monthly newsletter and our annual Membership Directory are supported by paid advertising.  We need a person who will solicit ads from vendors.  Ads in our newsletter need to be secured for 2021. The ads are 1/4 page and 1/8 page.  The size of the ads for our Membership Directory are 1/2 page, 1/3 page, and full page.  Most ads are repeated yearly by the vendors, thus the job is not too difficult.

Duties of the News Media Coordinator:

Please contact Carolyn McHale to become a member of the Communications Team.
