In School-year 2011-2012, VIPMOAA initiated $500 "scholarships" to senior students at Junior ROTC units on the peninsula.  Member donations to the Military Community Service/Scholarship Fund enable the chapter to issue these scholarships to each of the 11 area high schools.  VIPMOAA provided eleven $500 scholarships to the 11 Junior ROTC units for the school-year 2014-2105. For school year 2015-2016 we were able to increase the scholarship to $700. However, the scholarship reverted back to $500 the following year.

 

In 2019 $500  Scholarships were awarded to 11 Seniors at the 11 high schools having

 

JROTC programs on the Virginia Peninsula in 2019.  To date a total of about $30,000 have been awarded to JROTC scholarship cadets since the beginning of the VIPMOAA Scholarship Program.
