May-June 2025 is the season when VIPMOAA is honored to award the JROTC Scholarship award to senior high school cadets and the Leadership awards to the deserving Junior cadets. VIPMOAA Members presenting the JROTC awards were Ron Corson, Paul Fameli, Tom Shubert, Tom Swanson, and Jim Pauls. We also attend the commissioning at W&M, CNU, & Hampton.

W&M held their ROTC spring commissioning ceremony on May 15th.  VIPMOAA was represented by COL Lynn Dievendorf, Capt Sheryll Elston, and LTC Stephen Huebner.  VIPMOAA Certificates and Stars from retired American Flags were presented to each newly commissioned Lieutenant.

These 2nd LT were commissioned into Active Duty Army: Ian Cowley (Armor), Kadesha Gibbs (Medical Service), Andrew Jones (Infantry), and Lucy Keegan (Medical Service). Commissioned into the National Guard: Malia Fong (Medical Service in VA NG), George Hage (Military Intelligence in PA NG), and Kevin Ernst (Aviation in PA NG).  Payton Nolan was commissioned into the Individual Ready Reserve, Medical Corps (education delay).  Dylan Gurl was commissioned into the U.S. Marine Corps.
